Deena is an Environmental Planner and Architect with over five years of experience in sustainable planning and policy development. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Planning and Management from the School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada. As Project Manager of the Project Management Unit (PMU) for Tamil Nadu under UNEP’s India Cooling Programme, Deena leads state-level coordination, policy advisory, and capacity-building efforts to advance passive cooling, thermal comfort, and heat-resilient urban planning. His role involves close collaboration with various state government departments and industry stakeholders, with a focus on integrating sustainable cooling solutions and promoting inclusive approaches to resilient urban and rural development.
