WHAT IS Auroville Consulting
Auroville Consulting (AVC) is a unit of the non-profit organisation, Auroville Foundation. It means any profits generated by the Unit are re-deployed in the Unit or its parent organization (Auroville Foundation) and not paid to any individual or any external entity. We are looking for a Building Energy Expert to support the implementation of building energy efficiency initiatives. The role involves assisting the Technical Lead in updating procurement and construction specifications, implementing EcoNiwas Samhita, promoting passive cooling and thermal comfort, and engaging with private sector developers.
Responsibilities entail:
The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering, project management, or sustainable development, with a focus on building energy efficiency or urban planning. Familiarity with sustainable cooling technologies, thermal comfort standards, and green building practices. Working knowledge of Tamil and English (written and spoken). Responsibilities entail:
