Rohit is a Senior Energy System Modeller at Auroville Consulting, where he specialises in developing models to support net-zero transition pathways for utilities and policymakers. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad and Iowa State University, respectively. He has research experience in energy system modeling, mathematical optimization, and machine learning. Prior to Auroville Consulting, he was a Research Analyst at the Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP), New Delhi, where he studied India’s energy transition pathways. He has also conducted research with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) South Asia and Iowa State University on projects spanning taxation, electronic design automation, and transactive energy systems. Rohit is committed to advancing public policy and large-scale impact, and leverages his technical expertise to support governance, sustainable development, and energy transitions.
