Auroville Consulting conducted on-the-ground energy and water audits and established an energy and water baseline for Auroville, which will allow forecasting of future demand. The study of current consumption patterns, fixtures and commonly used appliances allows us to identify water and energy efficiency and conservation measures that can be implemented. A road map for implementation of renewable energy technologies was drawn up with the goal of increasing the capacity of small and medium sized distributed energy systems to supply 30% of the total energy demand within a period of five years. The project was executed in cooperation with the Auroville Town Development Council.
